Here is a short clip from the French game show Fort Boyard. To do this show you have to be strong and fearless (especially when it comes to spiders and Scorpios).
French actor Singer former model and OhLaLa favorite Baptiste Giabiconi was a contestant on the last episode that aired this weekend, he is strong as you can see on the picture above ... but one thing he is not is fearless when it comes to face Mygales and Scorpios ...
"J'ai gueulé comme une meuf" .... "I screamed like a girl" said Baptiste ... yes you did and it's damn funny and I would probably scream just the same in this situation lol.
You can (and you should) follow Baptiste adventures and selfies on Instagram b_giabiconi.
The scene with 'mummified' bodies and ashes falling down the sky (suggesting the eruption just took place) is totally inaccurate, since those bodies (that you can see in Pompeii today) are the results of air pockets left by the bodies. Excavators then filled those air pockets with plaster, et voila ... but hey this is Hollywood, if we start to look at historical 'details', nothing would be done around here.
But I do like how dramatic it looks ... just like Kit Harington's abs! Damn ...
I am glad Jon Snow the 'bastard of the North' finally went south to enjoy the beautiful and warmer weather of Italy.
More inaccurate historical facts (and lots of weird accents) coming to a theater near us February 2014. I can't wait !!!!!
A little update concerning Amélie Poulain - Broadway version ...
First Dan Messé is not interested in doing Parisian music ... "I don’t think I’m even going to use accordion in my score" an accordion-less Amélie? I think they just lost me there. Accordion is the most cliché you get get when picturing Paris but Amélie movie score is pretty fantastic. So that's a bummer ...
Then comes the comments of Amelie's director Jean-Pierre Jeunet who during a recent interview told that he absolutely hate musicals (I am on the same train ...).
So why sell the rights to Broadway? Here is why:
For those of you who do not speak French, Jean-Pierre Jeunet is part of a charity helping kids affected with heart problems, one surgery requires 10.000 euros, he already financed 12 surgeries but because of the economy, he did not want to loose the opprtunity to save more kids. But he's deeply disgusted by the idea of a musical and do not want to see anything Broadway related.
I love the movie Amélie Poulain and the idea of a musical is not really appealing to me. I think Amelie is all about romance and dreaming of a better world around us, using your eyes to see things differently and helping others. How is that going to translate on stage with no 'French music', no Audrey Tautou, no Mathieu Kassovitz, a carboard Eiffel Tower ... *beurk* sometimes things are better left untouched, the idea of another Amélie running on stage and singing is kinda disgusting I have to agree.
Is the destin of Amélie going to be fabulous? We shall see.
It's going to be a hot summer weekend here in LA. I may stay cool inside and probably dip myself in the pool (especially after posting those photos) so just for you here is a shoot of model Gabriel García rocking some Aware Soho by photographer Adrian C. Martin. You're welcome ...now I am off to the pool, enjoy your weekend.
More images after the jump.
