Roberto Cavalli AW13 Campaign

Screen Shot 2013-06-30 at 8.57.28 PM

Liu Wen, Liya Kebede and Iselin Steiro are the protagonists of the new Roberto Cavalli Autumn/Winter 2013-2014 advertising campaign shot by Mario Testino in Paris.

"At the end of an elegant and refined party, a car attends three beautiful aristocratic women, with slender bodies and seductive gazes. Another party awaits them: their beauty, permeated with charm, appeal and glamour will be exalted once again by the distinctive and sophisticated clothing and accessories, which will make them stand out amongst all the other guests. Floral prints, elegant furs, animal-print details and precious textiles highlight the contemporary aesthetics of the Maison, where art and craftsmanship are not limited to hand-painted clothing and accessories, but also extended to the dresses embellished with crystals, studs and small chains creating a sensual "armor" effect, for women who are confident and who love and want to be loved. Among the accessories, the restyling of the wonderful Hera bag collection, in honor of the goddess procuress of femininity, characterized by floral and animal-print fantasies, guarding the secrets, the desires and the seduction of the woman wearing them. The creative vision is inspired by Roberto Cavalli's innate passion for women and his desire to capture their intrinsic beauty and charisma in an emotional and passionate way."

Paris France Celebrate Its Pride One Month After First Same-Sex Wedding

Yesterday, like every year, tens of thousands of people have hit the streets of Paris as the city celebrates Gay Pride, exactly one month to the day since France conducted its first same-sex marriage.

What just happened in France and in the US will change the life of many people. Alek and I had to go through so much trying to figure out how to stay together in France when he was just on a student visa. I am so happy that bi national couples can now live without the stress and scares of deportation or being separated #loveisLove.

For those who have experienced gay prides in Europe and in the US, there is a big difference. In the US it is more of a parade with people sitting in an orderly manner (at least in LA) along the road waving at the participants a little bit like you would do on Main street USA at Disneyland. In Paris, well, it's more of a celebration/mess but you go with the flow and there is no way you could stand on the sidewalk for long before someone drag you into the crowd. So people end up following the trukcs with the hottest guys and girls or best music.

Some of you who have been reading this blog for a long time may remember our photos, the last time we went to the gay pride in Paris was in 2008, see the photos here. Gay Pride Paris 2007 + Gay Pride Paris 2006.

Here is a mosaic of photos from various instagrams accounts #ParisGayPride2013. The fun part is that if there is a fountain along the way you can bet it is going to end up in a pool-like-party.
