Palm Springs is one of our favorite destinations, it is is just a couple of hours away from LA, which is a big plus, and as much as we love traveling - and we did travelled a LOT of that in the past - I am loving not having to board planes and deal with jet lag. Oh and the fact that we get to stay everytime we go to the desert in one of the most amazing houses on the planet owned by our Friend Gregg is kinda amazing too - Escape 2 PlamSprings - is located in Southridge and it is the perfect gateway.
So last week after eating way too much food for thanksgiving we took off to spend a relaxing extended weekend in Palm Springs. Alek was celebrating his birthday and we had a lot of fun ... little did I know, my gift would provide more entertainment I could wish for ...
Our friend Ryan joined us and it was nice to be able to spend some time with him. How cool is his 1974 convertible !?!? We went retro all the way for this trip.
Even tho I was a big fan of the cartoon Wile E. Coyote and The Road Runner, I would have never been able to indetify a real life roadrunner. So you can imagine my surprise when our friend pointed outside the kitchen window to what I thought was some sort of wild desert chicken ... I did managed to snap a picture for those who - like me - have no idea what a roadrunner look like :-) and knowing that he is also known as a snake killer made me love this little thing even more.
We also got to meet, at last, photographer Paul Reitz ... after being in contact via emails and publishing his work for so many years. Check out all the photos from our trip on our instagram accounts alekandsteph and bellomag.
