Last night I (Alek) went out alone to The Abbey in West Hollywood, to meet some friends and see the fabulous Candis Cayne perform. Feeling guilty for leaving Steph home alone (working), I did not plan to stay late, but as the things turned out the show was too good to be missed. Bellow you will find a few amazing performances taped by our friend Darion that you have to see (no favorites they are all really good).

Like always Candis picks a guy or two (to make fun of them), and last night was my turn :-) Well she was not too harsh with me, and actually she did kiss me on a cheek so that made my night, well only half of it... There in the crowd was a little beautiful women that looked really familiar, and it is only when she went on stage after Candis performed her song that we all realized it was Anastasia. WOW

Let me tell you, there are really only a few people on this earth that I really love without knowing them and Anastasia is at the top of the list. First because I love her music (she is really BIG in Latin America, Europe, Asia, South Africa and Australia), and we really hope she get the recognition she deserves in America with her new album. Yes the new material is all ready and will be released soon, and we can not wait to hear it.

Secondly Anastasia is such an amazing and humble person (she has stayed for an hour and a half after the show to talk with her fans, and yes us included). Her friend Philipe recognized me from the blog and was really nice to introduce us. Thank you pal. And thirdly Anastasia is a cancer survivor and is out there helping people with this bad malady find a strength to fight it. So all this together makes her an amazing person and we honestly had great time meeting her.

The story does not end there as I have to announce that this coming monday you all have to come to The Abbey and celebrate with Candis kicking Bush out of the office. We will make sure to be there.

I think I would also loose it if I had paparazzi following me all the time! I would be the one throwing cameras around and punching a face or two :-)
And now because they are recording too, they do try to have a conversation. I mean you should hear what those idiots are able to say to people in the streets, you got to have an incredible self control. I am sure the conversation was something like:
"Hey Reese are your pregnant !? Are you expecting twins!? Is Jake the father !? Is Jake really gay !? Did you came here for artificial insemination !? Are you pregant !? Is Jake gay !? ....
and this goes on and on until the person leaves or just tells them to go and have dinner with their mother and get a real job!
