If Vogue US is not a Fashion magazine anymore (I mean nothing agaisnt Vogue US I just don't read People magazine and stuff like that) so Vogue Paris remains - with Vogue Italia - the bibles of - true - fashion, the styling is great even if it's the same usual suspects, from Céline to Louis Vuitton, Emporio Armani or Versace.
On the cover of the Avril 2014 issue, Cameron Russell, shot in the heat of Miami by Mario Testino. here is a selection of my favorite shots from the cover shoot with Cameraon and Malaika Firth. So 80's I love it.
'A playful sense of wonder' / La belle Georgia May Jagger pays a visit to Disneyland Paris for Vogue Japan by Giampaolo Sgura. Best fashion photoshoot EVER! Even tho in 7 years living in LA we only went once to Disneyland, Alek and I always loved going to Disneyland Paris (almost weekly at some point) ... this shoot is making me so excited to go back to Disneyland Paris for a little family reunion in May!!!!!
Victoria Beckham was asked by Emmauelle Alt to be the 'invitée d'honneur' aka guest editor for the December January issue of Vogue Paris.
"With two warm, personal shots from photographers Inez & Vinoodh covering the issue and a host of family photos inside, this December’s Vogue Paris transports readers straight into the world of Victoria Beckham."
"Being asked to be the guest editor of the Christmas issue of Vogue Paris this year was an incredible honour. Working with Emmanuelle Alt and her team was both exciting and inspiring and I am so proud of what we have created"
"We handed over the running of this issue to a woman who, throughout our working together, has proved to be the exact opposite of her public image. She is spontaneous with a great sense of humour, humble yet at the same time driven by a healthy ambition. She is a perfectionist, like everyone who is passionate about their work", explains Emmanuelle Alt, editor-in-chief of French Vogue.
Vogue Paris December/January issue guest-edited by Victoria Beckham is on newstands December 2 - source.
Vogue Hommes International Paris feature on the cover of their fall winter issue (now on newsstands) le beau Alain Fabien Delon, son of famous French actor Alain Delon. I mean, this kid clearly has the charm of the Delon Dynastie. Check out the pictures below with the father in the center and his two sons:
You may remember that Dior used this old picture of Alain Delon (smoke free) for their Eau Sauvage fragrance [Alain Delon For Eau Sauvage by Dior].
But let's have a look at the beautiful fashion story inside this issue. Check out the full cover after the jump.
"Vogue Hommes International is celebrating the magic and mystery of the dynasty. On the cover for Fall/Winter 2013-2014 photographed by David Sims is Alain Fabien Delon Jr, the youngest son of one of the silver screen's coolest customers: Alain Delon, star of Plein Soleil- the French version of The Talented Mr Ripley. In this Fall's issue are the cream of the male modelling crop as captured by Sølve Sundsbø, the fashion sensations of the season and all the best accessories, skateboarding champions Steve and Alex Olson shot by Mario Sorrenti, a gripping conversation between French actor Gérard Depardieu and the son of French film director Maurice Pialat, bankrupt model heir Clément Chabernaud and, to top it all off, an exclusive and completely candid interview with Joan Collins, the glamorous and super-sharp icon of the television series Dynasty."
Looking at this editorial, I cannot help but think at Dior choosing Robert Pattinson as the face of Christian Dior's Dior Homme fragrance ... ok maybe they wanted a 'name' but I do not think the target of Dior fragrance are vampire-obsessed teenage girls! This kid would have been just perfect ...
Plus Dior removed the cigarette on the Alain Delon pic for their Eau Sauvage fragrance to have Robert Pattinson light a cigarette for the Dior Homme fragrance ... it does not make sense [The New Dior Homme, Robert, Likes To Smoke In His Bathtub ... Pourquoi Pas!?] they probably wanted to make Robert edgy but it did not worked for me at all ... edgy is an attitude not a cigarette ...
Vogue Paris November 2013 issue reinterprets L.A. Confidential .. with L.A. Confidentiel, c'est tellement plus chic in French ;-) There is a connection between Paris and Los Angeles, even tho this city is not what we imagine (fashion wise) the Parisiens adorent traveling to L.A. and bring their euro-chic-style to this land of the ultimate glam-relax.
