As you can see on those photos taken today at the Sunset Towers Hotel in West Hollywood Zac Efron knows well the importance of five servings of fruits and vegetables every day ;-)
Besides eating healthy Zac also has another habit which is flaunting his underwear every time he steps into a car ... not complaining! [INF]
The November issue of NYLON Guys takes on the enigma that is Zac Efron. Is Zac Efron the next king of the silver screen? It may be too soon to tell, but the actor who turns 22 on October 18 is certainly making good start.
This month sees the release of the Richard Linklater-directed Me and Orson Welles, in which Efron plays an aspiring thespian who by a series of fortunate events is thrown into the iconic director’s infamous production of Julius Caesar, which was the first Shakespeare play ever staged on Broadway. NYLON Guys went sailing with Efron in Vancouver to talk about his transition from Disney pin-up to serious actor.
On Me and Orson Welles. “It’s the first time I’ve ever watched a movie [that I’m in] and in the end I’m like, ‘OK! I didn’t check my watch once!’”
On growing up musically inclined. “I was constantly singing. I would hear things on the radio and just be able to spit them out instantly, with perfect memorization and tone. It wasn’t like I took pride in it; there was no effort. My parents were like ‘Shut up. Please stop singing. It’s annoying.’”
On whether celebrity albums are necessary. “If anyone asked themselves that, then we wouldn’t have the crap we are listening to today. If your heart’s not in it, don’t do it. And don’t do it for money. That’s my philosophy.”
On Disney fame. “I try not to look at all of it. You can’t enjoy or celebrate it; it’s not a real thing. The face on the lunchbox and shit—you can’t share that with your friends."
Finally a serious dramatic period piece movie featuring Zac Efron that does not involves, jerseys, basketball or singing ... well ... there are actually singing in this new movie, but no jerseys mostly because it's 1937! Almost there Zac ;-)
The movie is called Me and Orson Welles and it just got a new trailer. The movie received great reviews from those who have seen it on the festival circuit.
Directed by Academy Award-nominated helmer Richard Linklater, "Me and Orson Welles" was shot in the Isle of Man, London and in New York. Based on the novel by Robert Kaplow and set in the thrilling world of New York theater, it will have limited theatrical release in the U.S. on November 25.
Below watch the trailer that mostly focuses on Zac Efron’s character bien sur.
With his shorter and blonder hair Zac Efron look 10 years younger !!!! He was spotted showing off his six pack and more on the set of The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud [National Photo Group - source]
In The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, Zac Efron plays a character who mourns the death of his brother by working at the cemetery where his body is buried. But who cares right now, right !? ;-)
Zac just like any movie stars has its own assistants and he has one following him all over the place with a spray, not sure if it is sunscreen or hair spray.
A day without Zac Efron is not a complete day lately, so here are some new outtakes from GQ :-) [source] All the things Zac can do with a parking meter, I am impressed ... he is like the hunky fairy parking and even if he does not put coins in the meter as long as he is shirtless it is fine with me! See all the photos in the gallery below.
Just like if there was not enough Zac Efron on television and magazines we managed to survive a tsunami of teenage girls on what we though would just be a little shopping trip to the Sephora located at the Kodak Theater.
So while I surprised myself waving in his direction and screaming his name while on the opposite side walk from the movie premiere at the Chinese Theater, the unexpected happened ... Zac suddenly decided to cross the street, maybe he saw me I don't know, anyway it took less than 2 seconds for the side walk to turn into a nightmare (Boy! those girls can scream!!!!)
So what did I do !? I shameless made my way to Zac Efron :-) So I could snap a picture. But trying to take a picture of Zac in the middle of hundreds of teenage girls was like ... trying to get a snap of Zac Efron in the middle of hundreds of teenage girls! I was screaming his name, I mean he was right there in front of me ... I could have gave him a kiss on the cheeks, just a little bisou but then not sure the 5 bodyguards around him would have let me do that, it was INSANE and then it hit me, OMG I was 17 again ;-)
Zac is so cute I wanna be friends with him, not like a crazy friend who would shows up at your door uninvited at 11 pm, no, but one of those friends who shows up at your door uninvited around 8 pm :-) It's good to be 17 again ...
It was so not what we have expected from our shopping trip but it was kind of fun! Come on where else in the world you would go out to get a moisturizing cream and bump into Zac Efron who goes to the premiere of his last movie !? And get your photo taken with Zac Efron, yes look below, it's Alek in the background ... I swear!!!!
In our special gallery below more photos! I bet you haven't seen that many good photos of Zac Efron's back in a long time ;-) Oh and before we go, have you seen the wax statue of Zac unveiled at Madame Tussauds NYC it is absolutely atrocious!!!!!! I would not even use it as a candle for my bedroom.
Zac Efron was photographed by Peggy Sirota for the upcoming issue of GQ [soure]
Three years ago, Zac Efron tapped into the fantasies of a generation of girls who were still wearing braces and driving with learners’ permits and became the lord of the tweenyboppers, thanks to Disney and ‘High School Musical.’ Now, at the manly age of 21 and with two major movies on the line—including Richard Linklater’s next project—he’s trying to prove he’s more than just another buffed and pretty face.
Have you seen Zac in SNL? It's HERE. More photos from GQ and the cover shot in our gallery below.
I like SNL, not a huge fan but it is always fun to see the celebrities you like doing stupid things! Last night Zac Efron was the host of the show and as much as I love him (yes I am like one of those teenage girls when it comes to Zac..) The show was not that great! What we liked were the photos of Zac (below) after each commercial break!
Zac Efron did a pretty good job, but not all the stories were that funny. The fake commercial was pretty good along with the 'morning show' but for the rest of the night nothing to remember really ...
See more photos from last night SNL with Zac Efron below.
Zac Efron organized a pool party for Funny Or Die with Brody Jenner, Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Queen latifah, Vanessa Hudgens, Carmen Electra, Lance Bass and more. It was shot last week in Los Angeles.
It would have been a perfect L.A. pool party if his uncle and girlfriend didn't show up ;-) [source]
